extends java.awt.Window

This class is used for displaying tool tips. It is a window without title bar nor border. The paint method draws directly on the graphic context.

Method Detail

addNotify

public void addNotify()

Gets the default font and reduces it by 1 (one). Gets the font metrics for the tool tip font. Analyzes text and enforces location before first show.

Paints this container. The implementation of this method in this class forwards to any lightweight components in this container. If this method is subclassed, this method should still be invoked as a superclass method so that lightweight components are properly drawn.

This methods is modified from Symantec's WrappingLabel. It splits up the string into lines based on the font's metrics which are set in addNotify. The constant MAX_WIDTH specifies the maximum width in pixels for this window.

Makes this component visible or invisible. Note that it wtill might not show the component, if a parent is invisible.
